Wow It's been awhile!

Lots has happened since I last blogged over 8 months ago.  Here's a list of whats gone down:

  • Oct '11- My amazing Grandma Moffat passed away just a few days before her 95th b-day.
  • Oct'11 - My amazing parents left on their mission to the Dallas Texas mission
  • Nov '11 - We finally bought a house!!!!
  • Nov/Dec '11 - We finally got pregnant after 13 months of "trying"
  • Jan '12 - Kylie started Preschool two days a week.  It's heaven for Mommy!
  • Feb '12 - We moved into our new house
  • Feb '12/still - We are renovating new house on our own.
Don't worry I'll go more into depth on each of these fun new things in our lives.  It took us about two months to finally set up the computer since there were cable wires that needed rewired so now that I'm up and running I've made a promise to Elder and Sister Fullmer I would update so they'd know what was going on with us.  (Since I am horrible at writing them a letter like they asked us all to do back in Oct - Shame on me!!) Instead like my other siblings I will update the blog for them.

Weekend in Nebraska

We headed to Nebraska last weekend for a quick trip to see our friends the Joneses before they leave the country. They were good friends of ours in Cleveland and since he was with the Air Force for Dental School the wanted to try and be stationed of the country. They got their wish and are now headed to England. So excited for them as that will be such an exciting adventure for 3 yrs. Right now he's stationed in Omaha so we had to make a visit before they leave this week. Jenny and I had babies within 2 1/2 weeks of each other so our girls get along really well when their together.
Since it was a quick trip we didn't do much but hang out and relax. While the kids swam in the pool we played some Cornhole and waited for the homemade ice cream to finish. Kylie even let their bird hang out on her arm while we were there. I was shocked she did it and even more surprised she kept her arm out for the bird to stay on.

Mission Call

Just a quick Post about my parents. They just received their mission call today and are heading to Dallas, TX in the Fall. 2 of my siblings still live in the Utah County area so they gathered at my parents house with their cell phones in tow so they could all call the 4 siblings that live out of state plus, of course Avery who was out of town. It was fun to gather together (over phones) and listen as my brother Kevin (yes my brother had to read it - Mom was too nervous) read the letter. I'm very excited for them. Going on a mission after my Father retired was all he talked about for years since he didn't go on a mission as a teenager. They will be amazing and Dallas will love them!

On a side note: It's kinda strange typing Dallas, TX when I was so used to writing or saying Dallas, OR growing up. Wow, that's gonna take some getting used to.

Chuck E Cheese

Kylie had her first experience of Chuck E Cheese and Loved it!! We went with her friend Chase and his Mom Abby. Kylie was so excited to see all the different rides and toys she could play. Ran around and tried out almost all of them. Her favorite rides were Bob the Builder Tractor and a Fire Engine. I let her try out a Skeeball game but since she's still so small she got to cheat and stand on the runner. That didn't do a lot of good cuz she'd only throw it in the first hole which is only 1000 points I think. We both had a great time and definitely will go again and try for more tickets.

Adventures in Babysitting

Somehow I have become the ward/neighborhood/friend babysitter lately. It's not horrible and lets be honest the extra cash has been wonderful. Since the start of the year I have stayed 1 week with a family of 5, 1 night with a family of 3 while #4 was being born, 2 days (no overnighters) this week for a 2 yr old I just met. All while still watching Lily (the very sweet and adorable 18 month old I've been watching for 9 months). It makes me tired just thinking about it and I'm not done. Starting Monday I'll be adding a almost 3 yr old to my regular routine but luckily it's only during the day and I'll be done by Friday. Guess once you've been a Nanny you're always a Nanny! : )

Didn't take any pictures of the other kids I watched but below is the pictures from watching the Halverson Family back in January.

Lovely suburban I sported for a week in January to run 5 kids + Kylie everywhere
This kids really love their baby sister Ruby
Taught 2 of the 5 kids in Primary before I was called to the Presidency

Louisburg Cider Mill

Wow it's been a long time since I've updated this thing. Instead of backtracking from summer I'm starting with October. And maybe, just maybe I'll fill in details of summer in later posts.

Conference weekend was the Annual Louisburg Cider Festival so Saturday morning we drove down to Louisburg with our friends Abby & Jonathon who of course have one of Kylies favorite friends named Chase. Neither of us had been there before so it was a quite a unique experience. We enjoyed a pancake breakfast, Apple cider donuts (which were amazing) and the kids got to enjoy a hayride, a silo full of corn kernels, painted tractor tires to play on, a true pumpkin patch and many more activities. Kylie had a great time even though this pictures don't really show it. ha ha

Fun with Lily

I've started watching a baby named Lily twice a week. She is such a sweet addition to our routine. She was 9 months when she first came last month and she's been great! She's teaching Kylie how to share toys and to share time with Momma. I'm not sure what Kylie has taught Lily but I hope it's only good things. When I tell Kylie that Lily will be here this morning she looks around and says: "Lily where are you?". We had Lily 4 days this week so when Kylie woke up this morning (we didn't have her today) Kylie was looking around saying "Lily!" "Lily!!". It was very sweet, they are becoming cute friends. Whenever we decide to have another baby I think Kylie will be a big help! Enjoying sippy cups together
Doesn't care much for swings. It was pulling teeth just to get her in for the picture
At least Lily likes it

Walking around Deanna Rose Farmstead
Enjoying books in Kylie's room
